Wayde King and Brett Raymer have worked on their fair share of impressive fish tanks, but a recent addition to their resume introduced them to some very special collaborators.
"It was pretty painless," Raymer says of working with Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of KISS, who came out to admire their handiwork at the grand opening of a KISS-themed miniature golf course in Las Vegas, where the duo built a tank bearing the band's logo.
The structure is just one of many the pair, who are also brothers-in-law, construct in the newest season of Tanked, which airs Saturdays at 9 p.m. on Animal Planet. Later this week, King and Raymer will head to the home of 30 Rock star – and noted animal lover – Tracy Morgan to install a shark tank.

Remembering Dick Clark
"As a little boy I sat transfixed to our television every afternoon and Saturday night watching American Bandstand. Dick Clark was the face of rock and roll and its best ambassador. His decades of successes both in and outside of the music industry are unparalleled. He championed KISS when others turned away and was instrumental in breaking us through his show "In Concert". Through the years Dick was always available when I had a question or wanted guidance. Dick Clark was the rare exception who was a bigger person in real life than the public image or legend that was also to be his legacy. I will remember him with great respect and gratitude."
- Paul Stanley
Associated Press story on Dick Clark:
Dick Clark, the ever-youthful television host and tireless entrepreneur who helped bring rock 'n' roll into the mainstream on "American Bandstand," and later produced and hosted a vast range of programming from game shows to the year-end countdown in Times Square on "New Year's Rockin' Eve," has died. He was 82.
Spokesman Paul Shefrin said Mr. Clark had a heart attack Wednesday morning at Saint John's hospital in Santa Monica, a day after he was admitted for an outpatient procedure.
Mr. Clark had continued performing even after he suffered a stroke in 2004 that affected his ability to speak and walk.
Long dubbed "the world's oldest teenager" because of his boyish appearance, Mr. Clark bridged the rebellious new music scene and traditional show business, and was equally comfortable whether chatting about music with Sam Cooke or bantering with Ed McMahon about TV bloopers.
He thrived as the founder of Dick Clark Productions, supplying movies, game and music shows, beauty contests and more to TV. Among his credits: "The $25,000 Pyramid," "TV's Bloopers and Practical Jokes" and the American Music Awards.
For a time in the 1980s, he had shows on all three networks and was listed among the Forbes 400 of wealthiest Americans. Mr. Clark also was part of radio as partner in the United Stations Radio Network, which provided programs—including Mr. Clark's—to thousands of stations.
"There's hardly any segment of the population that doesn't see what I do," Mr. Clark told the Associated Press in a 1985 interview. "It can be embarrassing. People come up to me and say, 'I love your show,' and I have no idea which one they're talking about."
The original "American Bandstand" was one of network TV's longest-running series as part of ABC's daytime lineup from 1957 to 1987. It later aired for a year in syndication and briefly on the USA Network. Over the years, it introduced stars ranging from Buddy Holly to Madonna. The show's status as an American cultural institution was solidified when Mr. Clark donated Bandstand's original podium and backdrop to the Smithsonian Institution.
Mr. Clark joined "Bandstand" in 1956 after Bob Horn, who had been the host since its 1952 debut, was fired. Under Mr. Clark's guidance, it went from a local Philadelphia show to a national phenomenon.
As a host, he had the smooth delivery of a seasoned radio announcer. As a producer, he had an ear for a hit record. He also knew how to make wary adults welcome this odd new breed of music in their homes.
Mr. Clark endured accusations that he was in with the "squares," with critic Lester Bangs defining Bandstand as "a leggily acceptable euphemism of the teenage experience." In a 1985 interview, Mr. Clark acknowledged the complaints. "But I knew at the time that if we didn't make the presentation to the older generation palatable, it could kill it."
"So along with Little Richard and Chuck Berry and the Platters and the Crows and the Jayhawks...the boys wore coats and ties and the girls combed their hair and they all looked like sweet little kids into a high-school dance," he said.
But Mr. Clark defended pop artists and artistic freedom, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame said in an online biography of the 1993 inductee. He helped give black artists their due by playing original R&B recordings instead of cover versions by white performers, and he condemned censorship.
His stroke in December 2004 forced him to miss his annual appearance on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve." He returned the following year and, although his speech at times was difficult to understand, many praised his bravery, including other stroke victims.
Still speaking with difficulty, he continued taking part in his New Year's shows, though in a diminished role. Ryan Seacrest became the main host.
He was honored at the Emmy Awards in 2006, telling the crowd: "I have accomplished my childhood dream, to be in show business. Everybody should be so lucky to have their dreams come true. I've been truly blessed."
He was born Richard Wagstaff Clark in Mount Vernon, N.Y., in 1929. His father, Richard Augustus Clark, was a sales manager who worked in radio.
Mr. Clark began his career in the mailroom of a Utica, N.Y., radio station in 1945. By age 26, he was a broadcasting veteran, with nine years' experience on radio and TV stations in Syracuse and Utica, N.Y., and Philadelphia. He held a bachelor's degree from Syracuse University. While in Philadelphia, Mr. Clark befriended Ed McMahon, who later credited Mr. Clark for introducing him to his future "Tonight Show" boss, Johnny Carson.
In the 1960s, "American Bandstand" moved from black-and-white to color, from weekday broadcasts to once-a-week Saturday shows and from Philadelphia to Los Angeles. Although its influence started to ebb, it still featured some of the biggest stars of each decade, whether Janis Joplin, the Jackson 5, Talking Heads or Prince.
But Mr. Clark never did book two of rock's iconic groups, the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. Elvis Presley also never performed, although Mr. Clark managed an on-air telephone interview while Mr. Presley was in the Army.

Dancing With The Stars
KISS returned on Tuesday night for Dancing With the Stars. The rockers hit the ballroom dance floor once again kicking off the show with an amazing performance of Lick it Up. Dressed in full costume, the fans were rocking out around the stage (and at home) and the guys showed how to make the show exciting.
The performance was accompanied by a dance routine as well. Mark Ballas, Chelsie Hightower, Henry Byalikov and Oksana Dmytrenko were dancing on the dance floor as the rockers were performing. The routine was with plenty of leather and gave the dancing fans a new way to look at the Dancing With the Stars ballroom.
The band KISS will be hitting the road over the summer as they perform at one of the biggest live concert shows planned for 2012. The global dates will give everyone a chance to see KISS in every part of the world.
Take a look at the video clip of KISS rock out Dancing With the Stars by performing Lick It Up. An odd choice for a dancing reality competition, but KISS perfectly fit into the rock themed week.
The 2012 KISS Kruise
Fans of the rock band Kiss are getting another chance this year to set sail with the group.
Music cruise organizer Sixthman has announced plans for a second all-Kiss-all-the-time extravaganza at sea to take place this fall on Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Pearl.
The four-night Kiss Kruise II will kick off on Oct. 31 in Miami and include a call at Norwegian's private island in the Bahamas, Great Stirrup Cay. It comes just a year after the first Kruise, which took place last October.
As part of the new voyage, organizers say fans will have a chance to take part in onboard activities led by each member of the band and take a photo with the band and their cabin mates. The band also will take part in a Q&A, costume contests, theme nights and a Halloween party, in addition to performing a live concert in the ship's main theater and an acoustic show on its pool deck.

Wearing their iconic face paints and leather attires, Gene Simmons and his rocker bandmates open 'DWTS' by providing an electrifying soundtrack for the dancing troupe.
KISS visited "Dancing with the Stars" on the night dedicated by the reality TV show to pay tribute to rock music. Donning their trademark costumes, Gene Simmons and his bandmates kicked off the Monday night, April 9 episode with their classic hit "Rock and Roll All Nite".
While KISS were playing loud and proud on the stage, "DWTS" troupe were taking the dance floor for an equally rocking choreographed number. Three female and male dancers, clad in KISS-esque attire, kicked off their set with a chair number before trading the props with ropes.
During the performance night, Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd collected the highest score from the judges. They got a total of 27 points with their paso doble, which Carrie Ann Inaba called "the most bizarre, sexy, hot paso" she's ever seen.

Rock music and ballroom dancing do mix, we found out, as Dancing With the Stars theme this week was "rock week," kicked off by KISS.
Costumes were mostly black, studded and leathery. Hair was big and strange. Hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke-Charvet were in black, and judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli carried on the theme. The only exception was Len Goodman, who stayed with his usual suit uniform.

R.I.P.
KISS was saddened to learn of Jim Marshall's passing today and recognizes his enormous contributions to rock and roll.
The man who gave rock one of its key visual and sonic props has died. Jim Marshall, known as "The Father of Loud" for inventing the Marshall amplifier, was 88 years old.
Marshall was a drummer and drum teacher who used his earnings to set up a music shop in west London in 1960. Among his customers were the likes of Ritchie Blackmore and Pete Townshend, and it was through talking to them that Marshall realised there was a gap in the market for a guitar amplifier cheaper than the American-made models popular at the time. When, at Townshend's request, a Marshall 1959 amplifier head was teamed with a cabinet, the "Marshall stack" was born, becoming the defining feature in rock bands' backlines for generations to come.

Eric Singer TV Interview
Carla Harvey of the Butcher Babies sits down with Eric Singer and Tommy Lee to dish on their joint epic summer tour.
KISS Kluture Is So Effective
KISS, joined by Motley Crue, has announced their raucous summer run, boldly named "The Tour." Poised to begin igniting audiences on July 20, 2012 in Bristow, Virginia, they are looking to incite mayhem in 40 U.S. venues before their finale in Hartford, Connecticut, on September 23, 2012. The first and last time the legendary bands shared the stage was in 1982, when the newcomers Motley Crue opened five shows for KISS.
At their March 20, 2012 press conference, KISS guitarist/singer Paul "Starchild" Stanley — as ornamented as ever — brazenly declared that the tour "is not a rock concert. When you put [KISS and Motley Crue] together, it's an event."
Stanley continued to boast that the tour will be "bombastic" and that "people are going to come and [say], 'I know why these bands have lasted.' [It's] because we know how to do it."
And they sure do.
Both KISS and Motley Crue assure that there is nothing "baby-booming" about either band — brandishing their signature pyrotechnics, performance stunts, flamboyant swaggers, and raw attitudes, they show no signs of slowing down.
As the legendary and curiously quotable Gene Simmons of KISS explained during the press conference, "What you are going to hear on-stage is live music. All the music is real, all the bombs are real, the guys you see playing instruments onstage are playing their instruments."
Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee concurred with Simmons during an interview with MSNBC, promising that audiences will be "totally flipped."
The camaraderie and irrefutable chemistry among the band mates is enrapturing, and guaranteed to satisfy their long-time disciples while drafting young blood into both the KISS Army and hard-rock fan base.
Stanley told Rolling Stone, "What we're hoping for, and certainly I am, is whatever people's expectations are, we blow them out of the water. I want people to hope for the legend that they've heard about and find out it's greater than that."
Perhaps Stanley's statement indicates why exactly the "KISS Kulture" is so effective: It's deliberate. Not only does KISS substantiate the folklore every time they command a stage; the band has successfully managed to bridge the generations by remaining accessible to their fans.

ACM Awards
Waving from the back of the vehicle, it was a moment for fans to remember. Musicians Gene Simmons, Eric Singer, Tommy Thayer and Paul Stanley of the rock band KISS were high above the street level looking like they were ready to have some fun at the show. The truck, the tires so big that an average person wouldn’t be tall enough to look at the tread of the tire on top, was one of the biggest surprises on the red carpet portion of the show.
The guys from the band were dressed in KISS style with makeup and costume on, ready to rock out at the ACM Awards. Expected to hit the stage, the band’s grand entrance was perfect for the afternoon in Las Vegas. The fans were cheering and the media noticing as the guys pulled up to share the night with the fans.
ACM Awards
Nan Kelley interviews KISS who arrived on the carpet in a custom RAM. They presented at last night's show and said they are honored to be there. They also talk about how they love country music and were to support all the talented artists.
Showbiz Tonight
In an exclusive interview with Showbiz Tonight, members of the band KISS slam the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. KISS, who performed at the NCAA Big Dance Concert Series this weekend, has been eligible to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame since 1999, but has never received the honor. Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley critique the organization, saying that the voting process is an insult to artists.
Fan Mosaics
KISS and Fan Mosaics Invite Fans to Celebrate 35 Years of KISS Alive II
Commemorative Photo Mosaic to be Composed Entirely of Fan-Submitted Images
For 35 years KISS fans have reveled in the sounds and images of KISS Alive II. To celebrate the anniversary of this masterful live album, KISS and Fan Mosaics are inviting fans to be part of some of the most recognizable rock images of all time.
“Every KISS fan knows and loves these images of the Demon, the Starchild, the Spaceman, and the Catman,” says KISS co-founder and front man Paul Stanley. “In honor of this big anniversary, we’re giving fans the chance to see these photos in a new way—featuring them in a supporting role.”
Fan Mosaics has combined the larger-than-life images from the KISS Alive II cover into a single picture that will be reproduced as an official collector’s item print.
“It’s more than just an amazing print, though” says Rob Hixenbaugh, Fan Mosaics’ director of fan & brand development. “It’s a mosaic that uses fan-submitted photos as its building blocks. The fans’ images will actually make up the big picture, letting them get inside a major part of KISStory.”
The 24-inch by 30-inch prints make great gifts or unique collectibles for everyone who’s ever dreamed of getting up close and personal with the band. Fans can unleash their inner rock star and upload their photo for inclusion in the officially licensed KISS Alive II Fan Mosaic at www.fanmosaics.com/kiss.
Ace On Classic Rock
Ex-Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley has revealed he has a bigger IQ than his old bandmate Paul Stanley. “A frontman [like Stanley] doesn’t have to be a genius,” quipped the Spaceman, “he just has to have the right moves.”
Speaking in the new issue of Classic Rock, Frehley said he has an IQ of 163, which equates to ‘very superior intelligence’.
“You might ask why I’ve done so many stupid things,” he laughed. “That’s where addiction comes in. Kiss once took an IQ test, and I was on top. I guess my brain was working good that morning – thank God for good genes.
“I think Paul got the lowest score. No, that didn’t surprise me. A frontman doesn’t have to be a genius, he just has to have the right moves.
“But with an IQ test, there are people who are brilliant that would probably do real shitty on them. I mean, Gene [Simmons] has the best business brain, absolutely. I don’t consider myself a very good businessman. When I start doing numbers I get a headache. I’m ruled by the creative side of my brain, not the analytical side.”
Frehley also said he empathised with Mayan predictions that the world will end in 2012.
“There’s all sorts of things going on. The sun has an 11-year cycle and it’s coming towards an end, so they’re expecting more sun-spot activity, solar winds and solar flares that could affect computers and power grids. Some planets are aligning, from what I understand, so that could cause an earthquake and severe weather. So a lot of crazy of things could happen.
“It doesn’t scare me. If I died tomorrow I’d die happy, because I’ve lived 10 lifetimes over what a regular person might have experienced.”

ACM Awards
On Sunday, April 1, KISS will present an award at the 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards! The event takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will be televised on CBS affiliates around the country.
From A Rooftop
KISSonline headed to a nearby rooftop to photograph and film the end of the New Orleans Block Party show from 29 floors up... and the crowd was so loud they could be heard singing high in the air. (The confetti even blew onto the roof from the stage!) Even a steady rainfall was not enough to deter the KISS Army! Take a look at these amazing photos of the enormous crowd rocking with KISS!
